Virgin Australia … Now You’re Flying!

Virgin Australia, The second largest airline down under officially entered into service over the past weekend. Virgin Groups Australian operations which had included ‘Virgin Blue’ which operated all of the companies domestic flights, ‘V Australia’ the company that operated it’s long-haul intercontinental flights and ‘Pacific Blue’ which operated flights to New Zealand and other Pacific island nations.

“From today, ‘Virgin Australia’ will operate domestically in Australia,” Virgin Australia Airlines’ first ever CEO John Borghetti said. ”By the end of the year, our international product V Australia and Pacific Blue will also operate under the ‘Virgin Australia’ name.”

Virgin Australia has removed all traces of Virgin Blue’s bright red livery in favour of an all-white design. The airline has also introduced a stylish new ‘Virgin’ logo in red on the aircrafts tail, as well as red stripes around the engines. The design on the livery features the ‘Virgin Australia’ branding along the fuselage of the aircraft is a lower-case silver lettering.

Developer Proposes Century City’s First New Office Tower in Over A Decade.

Chicago-based JMB Realty is seeking city approval to construct a 37-story office tower on Avenue of the Stars at Constellation Place that would be called Century City Center.

JMB officials say the $350 million office tower would be seeking LEED Platinum certification. The office tower will feature a rooftop garden over the parking structure and links to the proposed subway station. Century City Center will be designed by Johnson Fain, the same architectural firm that designed other Century City offices building including the Fox Plaza, SunAmerica Center and the former MGM Tower.

Chateau Marmont Bans Guest For Doing The Unthinkable… Tweeting About Another Guest.

If you plan on tweeting about celebrities at some of the hottest spots in LA… Be prepared to be banned from those places. The celebrity urban oasis, the Chateau Marmont hotel has banned the former Apprentice contestant, Jenna Hoffman for doing the unthinkable… tweeting while she was dining at Bar Marmount.

It is alleged that Jenn Hoffman saw Rachel Hunter break out into some crazy-ass behavior and decided to tweet about it. Some how it was brought to the attention to the hotels management therefore resulting in the ban of Hoffman for one year.

Here is what Hoffman is have said to have tweeted…

“She’s (Rachel Hunter) doing high kicks in the middle of the restaurant, she’s yelling and screaming, she’s singing happy birthday at the top of her lungs to a party that’s not her party, she is doing full on splits—splits—spread eagle this way and this way in the middle of the restaurant…showing everyone her ladyparts.”

Cipriani Family to Launch Mr. C Hotel Brand in Los Angeles

Ignazio and Maggio Cipriani, the fourth generation of a family known for its restaurants, banquet spaces, clubs and residences worldwide, will debut the Mr. C hotel brand in Los Angeles this spring. The 138-room property, a former Loews hotel, is being redesigned to convey a modern version of old-world simplicity and European glamour. Among its accommodations will be 12 Signature and Classic Suites. All guestrooms and suites include private balconies with views of Beverly Hills and Los Angeles. Interiors feature dark hardwood floors, burgundy and grey color palettes, white accents, black-and-white film photography, and bathrooms feature teak flooring and marble accents.

The hotel also will offer five multi-level, residential-sized bungalows averaging 3,000 square feet, each with a private garden, a gourmet kitchen, a plunge pool and views of Beverly Hills. The hotel restaurant, under the same name, will feature classics from Cipriani alongside grilled specialties and pizzas. The restaurant will offer indoor and outdoor seating, a separate entrance for non-hotel guests, and two private dining rooms.
